Thanks to our Lord's provision I was privileged to visit the Holy Land. It was thrilling to see the country which we’ve read so much about in the Bible.
The blue sea of Galilee is surrounded by beautiful green hills. There are miles and miles of cultivated fields of fruit trees and vegetables of every variety. The desert area is dusty and sandy, with rugged rock canyons. With Israel’s many thousands of years of history with wars, conquerors, destructions, each civilization has been built on top of the previous one, which is evident in the excavations. There are huge rocks and blocks, stone walls, rubble and ruins and various levels of construction all over the country and over the many historical sites that we visited. It was a joy to see these places, but what impressed me most was the fact that God dearly loves His people, the Jews, and His promises to them are still in place.
