I SAW JESUS IN CHURCH praying for us!
submitted by Simona Hamming
Our 3 year old son, Reuben, sees in the spirit realm. This not unlike many other children who seem to have a greater capacity to do this than us adults. One Sunday morning during worship and prayer, our boy pointed suddenly towards the front of church and said out loud and with great excitement,
“I see Jesus! I see Jesus!”
“Where?” I said.
“Over there!”, he replied
“What does Jesus look like? What is He doing?”
“He is praying for us.” said Reuben
“Is He praying for us right now? How is He holding His hands: together or stretched out towards us?” I was so curious.
“He is holding the microphone!”
That’s right, I smiled, too! I was expecting a description of something dazzling and surreal. My son reminded me of the TRUTH. Christ lives in us. (Gal 2:20) When we intercede for others, when we proclaim His Name, when we speak the TRUTH… Christ is doing just that.
When Jesus lived on earth He kept doing good, setting the oppressed free, healing the sick, raising the dead and thus showing the Father’s heart to us. Jesus is the same today. The only change is how he is present here now. He lives in you! He does through you all the things He did 2000 years ago. He still has authority over sickness, disease and death. He still loves people with an immeasurable love and wants them free to walk in union with Him. If you ever wonder how to deal with all the difficulties in front of you by yourself, remember; You are never by yourself! Jesus is one with you in spirit.
Of all the beings that He created, Jesus chose YOU to be His Eternal Bride, perfect and without blemish. Some of His angels rebelled in their pride and departed from God, and then man sinned and rebelled, but Jesus’s heart cried out, thinking of you; “I can’t lose these precious ones! I must gain them back.” With His holiness He defeated your enemy – the devil, and with His love He won you back to Himself.
Christ is in you.. When God looks at you, He sees the righteousness of Christ in you. When the devil looks up at you – he is blinded by the presence of God in you. You are a unique expression of Jesus Christ! You are a stunning new creation that captivates the entire spirit world! (1 Peter 1:12)
